Freight and logistics is a sector where brand perception directly influences contract wins. Transam was building their regional operation and needed a brand that would hold its own next to established national carriers — communicating scale, reliability, and operational precision from the first impression.
The brief was clear: look bigger than you are today, and look exactly right for who you're becoming.

The Strategic Foundation
Before any mark was drawn, we established the brand positioning: Transam is not a budget carrier or a faceless logistics network. It is a precision-operated freight company that takes responsibility for every shipment. The visual language needed to communicate this directly.
The design direction drew on industrial precision — the geometry of engineered systems, the authority of structural forms — interpreted in a contemporary way that reads cleanly on a truck door or a digital invoice.
The Mark
The Transam logomark is a structural angular form that reads as both forward motion and precision construction. Built on a strict geometric grid, the mark scales from a 20mm business card corner to a full-width vehicle livery without any loss of integrity.
Key design decisions:
- Angular geometry — reinforces precision and structural confidence
- Contained form — designed to hold its shape in tight application contexts (embroidery, stamps, signage)
- Single-weight construction — no gradients, no drop shadows; pure vector geometry that works in any single-colour application
Colour System
| Colour | Pantone | CMYK | Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fleet Blue | 288 C | C100 M72 Y0 K18 | Primary brand colour |
| Carbon Black | Black 6 C | C0 M0 Y0 K100 | Wordmark and type |
| Signal White | — | C0 M0 Y0 K0 | Reversed applications |
The fleet blue was specifically chosen to hold correctly on vehicle livery — tested against the polymer coatings used by the Transam's vehicle wrap supplier.
Applications
The brand was delivered ready for every Transam touchpoint:
- Vehicle livery (side panels, cab doors, rear door graphics)
- Stationery suite (business cards, letterhead, delivery documentation)
- Digital presence (website, email signature, social)
- Operational materials (manifests, labels, documentation headers)
