Aviation and aerospace brands operate in a visual space where precision is the baseline expectation. Every element of an Aerion identity needs to communicate the same level of care and accuracy that the technology itself represents.
The Aerion brief was to create a mark that felt genuinely aerodynamic — not as a literal aircraft shape, but as a form that embodies the principles of speed, efficiency, and precision that define flight.

The Conceptual Foundation
Aerodynamics is the study of how air moves around objects. The most efficient aerodynamic forms share common characteristics: clean leading edges, tapering trailing geometry, minimal turbulence. We translated these physical principles directly into visual design decisions.
The mark is not an airplane. It is a form that obeys the same geometric logic as one — angular precision, directional energy, and a silhouette that moves through visual space without resistance.
The Mark
The Aerion logomark is constructed from a precise arrangement of angular planes — forms that suggest both vector motion and structural precision. Built on a strict grid with angles derived from aerodynamic efficiency calculations, the mark reads with immediate clarity at every scale.
Design principles applied:
- Leading edge sharpness — the mark has a defined directional point that anchors the visual movement
- Plane layering — overlapping angular forms create depth without gradients
- Single-weight construction — the mark works in solid single colour across all applications
- Negative space — precisely calculated gaps within the form create visual breathing room and aid scalability
Colour System
The Aerion palette is built on the contrast between deep technical authority and clean technological precision:
| Colour | Role | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Deep Space | Primary | Pantone 2768 C |
| Electric Blue | Accent | Pantone 2727 C |
| Technical White | Background / reversed | #FFFFFF |
The deep navy is specified for all primary applications. The electric blue accent appears in specific contexts — data visualisations, hover states on digital, and as a secondary mark colour when monochrome is insufficient.
The Brand System
The complete Aerion identity covers the full range of aviation industry touchpoints:
- Corporate stationery and documentation
- Digital presence (website, app interface guidance)
- Exhibition and trade show materials
- Uniform and operational markings
