Caravel Solutions came to us with a clear brief: build a brand that communicates technical competence and dependable execution — without looking like every other logo in the enterprise software space.
The name Caravel — a historically precise, navigational ship — gave us our conceptual anchor. The brand needed to feel engineered, directional, and built with intention.

The Design Approach
We began with geometry. The mark needed to convey precision without being cold, structure without being rigid. After exploring several directions — compass forms, navigation instruments, modular grid systems — we arrived at a construction built from overlapping angular planes that create a sense of forward momentum.
The final mark operates on a 12-unit grid. Every proportion is derived mathematically. Every angle corresponds to the grid — no arbitrary decisions, no "by eye" adjustments that won't hold up at extreme sizes.
Typography
The wordmark uses a precision-engineered sans-serif with subtle geometric corrections to the standard typeface. Spacing is optically balanced, not default — the letter-pair relationships were manually adjusted to produce an even visual rhythm that holds at both display scale and small print applications.
The supporting typographic system establishes three levels of hierarchy, designed to work together across pitch decks, website copy, and formal correspondence.
Colour System
The palette is built on a foundation of two primary colours:
| Colour | Role | Values |
|---|---|---|
| Deep Navy | Primary brand colour | Pantone 289 C |
| Precision White | Background / contrast | Pure white |
| Structural Grey | Secondary text | #6B7280 |
Both primary colours are specified across RGB, CMYK, Pantone, and hex — ready for any production context.
The Full System
Beyond the mark and wordmark, the identity system covers:
- Logo lockups in all orientations (horizontal, stacked, icon-only)
- Colour and monochrome variants
- Clear-space rules and minimum size specifications
- Business card and letterhead design
- Brand guidelines PDF
